Amino Resins

When it comes to crafting particleboard and fiberboard used in various interior applications, Hexion provides a versatile range of resin options. Our offerings encompass urea formaldehyde (UF), melamine-urea formaldehyde (MUF), and hybrid melamine-urea-phenol formaldehyde (MUPF) resins.

These specialized resins open the door to a world of possibilities for manufacturers. Options include:

  • Standard UF resins
  • MUF resins including Type I high moisture-resistant systems
  • Resins that can be used to be CARB Phase II and EPA TSCA Title VI compliant

Emission Reduction Products

To further slash emissions to ultra-low, "background" levels, we offer a variety of advanced solutions, including:

  • Scavenger Resins: These resins are highly effective and can be substituted for up to 30 percent of UF or MUF resin solids, resulting in emissions levels that dip below CARB Phase II and EPA TSCA Title VI requirements.

  • Phenolic Resins: These resins not only contribute to LEED v.4 credit but also offer the advantage of being urea formaldehyde-free. Plus, their tack and cure speed can be adjusted to suit your specific application requirements.
