Adhesives and Resins for Engineered Wood

Where Innovation Meets Stability

When it comes to adhesives and resins for structural engineered wood products, we've got all the technical stuff covered.

There’s a lot to keep in mind when it comes to adhesives and resins for structural engineered wood products. We know these materials need to meet a bunch of standards, from heat performance to customer quality and emissions regulations. Luckily, we've been at the forefront of load-bearing structural adhesives for ages.

Here's what we bring to the table:

  • Phenol-resorcinol-based resins: They can handle extreme heat, even beyond the combustion point of wood. They've aced ASTM D-7247, which is the gold standard for testing adhesive bonds at high temperatures. Plus, they're tough and water-resistant.
  • Melamine-based resins: These excel at thermal stability, passing ASTM D-7247 and complying with CSA0112.9 standards. They come in light or clear colors, they're moisture-resistant, strong, and perfect for radio frequency or cold set curing.
  • Resorcinol-based resins: These are two-part, structural exterior glues that use radio frequency curing. They require a powdered hardener and they're ideal for tough outdoor applications.
