Letmathe Associates Manufacture Hand Sanitizer for Local Hospitals

April 06, 2020
On Saturday Hexion's Letmathe site produced the first batch of 1,000 liters hand sanitizer for local hospitals, healthcare practitioners and retirement homes.

The site team immediately decided that to help after receiving the call for help from the local authorities. The regional state council ran out of supply of hand sanitizers. As the state council is responsible to supply all state institutions, including hospitals, a shortage of disinfectant would lead to significant consequences.

On Saturday morning a group of volunteers met to produce the first batch. Under strict safety measures, the team managed to produce the first 1,000 liters in an IBC and filled the final product into smaller containers. On-site testing in the laboratory ensured the quality standards of the WHO recipe were met.

The final product will be delivered by Hexion truck to the state council.

We thank all team members for their engagement beyond the expected and are glad to be able to help in these challenging times.
