  • Bakelite® Phenolic Resins for Foam Applications

Open and closed cell foams based on the Bakelite® family of phenolic resins are both lower-emitting and higher-performing – and suitable for thermal insulation, floral, mining and orthopedic applications. Our Bakelite® and Cellobond™ phenolic resins and related Phencat™ hardeners offer controlled cell structures, controlled exotherm rates and optimized mechanical properties, resulting in products that are more durable and resist fire, smoke, toxicity and chemical attack.

Bakelite® and Cellobond™ phenolic resin grades are designed to reduce process emissions OLV (occupational limit values) during foam manufacturing, and to reduce product formaldehyde emissions.
